the previous entry was on friendships and i couldnt really express myself well. but last week i was reading an article and it was on friendship. i quite agree with the author. lemme quote.
' there are 3 kinds of friendships . friendships of utility, friendships of pleasure and perfect friendship. the highest and noblest of these is perfect friendship, where we love people not merely because they are useful or pleasant, but because of who they are. this is what most of us would call true or real friendship - Friendship with a capital "F". friendships like this give value and meaning to our lives.
Companionship is the feeling of closeness that comes about whenever people mix around.However companionship and friendship are not the same....there is not doubt that companionship is a good thing and companions are friends, of a sort. but they are friends with a small "f" - no substitute for the intimate friends we all want and need.
Friendships arises out of mere Companionship when two or more of the companions discover that they have in common some insight or interest.. which the otheres do not share and which, till that moment, each beileved to be his own unique treasure(or burden) '
haha i guess although many of us seek perfect friendship, but somehow we always end up seeking friendships of utility and pleasure. i'm guilty of that myself and its something ill work on.
this week was quite good except for the soc training conducted by that $*@(. haha
and yay we got a day off on friday. friday was well spent (:
it was quite funny when we met. we were both at different parts of lido waiting for each other(we both thought the other party was 'walking to lido'). but she clever la. sit down and wait. i stood around and waited instead. stupid right. hahah.
watched bratz with adeline. and yes i didnt fall asleep. got chicks how to fall asleep. haha (i think i was the only guy in the cinema).
also managed to get a shirt i like. im quite fussy so its quite difficult finding shirts that i actually like. haha. new wardrobe, new clothes :D
the only minus point for friday is i ate too much i think. oops
next week's gona be depressing. booking out on sunday even though battalion live firing doesn't involve us. greeaatt. and till now i dont konw if i should change course. show me the light. lol.
